gogmorgo Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I've seen this one come up on Kijiji a few times. Started out asking something like 15,000 for it I think.
NHMJXJ Posted August 6, 2016 Author Posted August 6, 2016 Auction ended with a sale at $6300US ... let's see if they complete the deal. We'll know if it pops back up on eBay. They often do. Regardless, while it isn't the best color combination, it's definitely clean!
johnj92131 Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Auction ended with a sale at $6300US ... let's see if they complete the deal. We'll know if it pops back up on eBay. They often do. Regardless, while it isn't the best color combination, it's definitely clean! Lots of flake bidders on Ebay, unfortunately. Last February I was second high bidder on a 1969 Corvair convertible - the winning bidder bumped his bid by 50% to win. Then didn't perform. Car was back on Ebay in July. I was high bidder till another "bidder" out bid me by 50% - then withdrew bid 10 minutes later. Looked like he was just trying to see what the reserve was, then canceled the bid when he found he passed the reserve. This time I got the car and it is in my garage.
ArcticMonkey Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 It will not turn up on eBay again, rest assured. It will end its days in a norwegian holiday place south of Oslo, towing my mahogany boat to the workshop before winter and then rest all winter until spring sitting in a garage....
johnj92131 Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Congratulations, ArcticMonkey! You made a fine purchase. That truck is a KEEPER. Please do post pictures when you get the truck in Oslo, then again when you hook it up to the boat. Love to see the boat and the truck in their new home. And a Big Welcome to the Comanche Club.
ArcticMonkey Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 I am in the process of shipping it overseas now. It was a rare find, with everything untouched, no off road ambitions (owner was not even driving in a few inches of snow). I am very excited, and hopefully I will manage to make the Cruise Control work again...probably something electric...we´ll see. I will upload som pictures from the norwegian woods when it hits our shores...Thanks!
