crs88 Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 I had a ton of slop in the shifter and when I pulled it to take a look, there is no bushing at the end of the shifter where it enters the transmission. It is flat at the end and goes into a notch, but I would think that a bushing would have been in place to avoid that slop and metal on metal contact. Yes? Anyone have any insight or the same issue at some point?
crs88 Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 Anyone have a pulled BA trans that they could take a look at for me? I'm having trouble lining up the gears when I'm shifting, but I don't think that it's the trans going bad.

Tell me...when you pulled that shifter it was in neutral, right? Was the slot perfectly centered in the top of the transmission? Mine is kind of off-center to the left.
