cody4359
Been watching some wheeling videos and getting anxiouse to be home and get the jeep.some work done. As of now.i need to trim the front fenders a bit and ad extended bumpstops. I have some UHMW I've gotten setup for mounting on the axle, but now.i want something a bit nicer. I have been browsing and haven't found what I've been looking, and I'm away from the jeep to take pics or try visualizing. I'd like a airbump running off the unibody rail to the rock krawler control arm. I habe found a few kits that mount the cans from the orignal bumpstops can, but I habe ACOS spacers, and have read that during flex you can rub on the coil. Does anyone have a link saved or ideas for adding front airbumps cleanly? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
89eliminator
why can't you mount it to the unibody? thats what I'm gonna do when i get my air bumps.
daking
I wanted air bumps on my MJ. I ended up going with Prothane Ring Coil Spring Inserts instead. Less failure points. http://www.amazon.com/Prothane-19-1705-Ring-Spring-Insert/dp/B00387A83G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1461133037&sr=8-1&keywords=Prothane+19-1705 Note red in the coil Image Not Found Image Not Found I went with timbren bumps in the rear. They compress very well, and add a soft rate. Image Not Found However, if you do go air bumps, make sure to post pictures.
cody4359
How much room dp you have with the red inserts to the bump on the acos? I think I habe 4.5" springs plus acos and if memory serves me right the UHMW bumps I made were 6 or 7" long. Compressible would need to be longer Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
