88whitemanche
What's up fellas.... Ok to save cost I am swapping my 4.10 cad Dana 30 over to my Cherokee. I have the parts to swap over to the 297 u joint shafts.... My main question is do I swap brakes completely or does the old set fit on the newer axle and vice versa.... Thanks in advance
onlyinajeep726
Depends on the years each axle came from. I'm not sure what years changed, but I do know that my D30 w/CAD from my '88 XJ had slightly different knuckles on it than the D30 I got from a '94 XJ, so I had to run the brake setup of the '94. Lee21490
You can always just swap the knuckles over too, Thats what i did when i went from cad -> Non cad, Since i had just bought new brakes shortly before.
88whitemanche
Hmmm .... I think I may have to swap the complete assembly to the soft brakes lines over....
