87 through 90 should work. IIRC, the late 89 and 90 give the renix a bit more "oomph". I may have a manual ECU in one of my parts heeps. I'll check soon and let you know.

Is there a difference for transmission?

The tranny has its own separate controller.

I have one out of mine. It was originally auto. Kept it in there after the ax15 swap. No issues. Swapped it out trying diagnose stalling issue.

Wasn't the problem.

It's a 90.

25$ + shipping if interested.

At first I was thinking there was a difference but was too busy with work last week to do any checking on here. Found the post I have saved this morning and it only matters if a manual is being used in an automatic:

Auto works in manual fine.

Manual equipped eCU may give stalling problems in an auto. Not huge.

89 or 90 Auto trans gives 9 more horsepower than an 87 eCU
