mikekaz1 Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Installed a new set of leaf springs and shackles. Now the passenger side when I drive randomly (but normally on bumps) makes a HARD clunk noise. If I'm parked and jump up and down in the bed, Nothing. If I grab the bedside and shake it, nothing. Everything's snug.... is it possible things are too snug? Anyone run into this before?

mikekaz1 Posted September 3, 2015 Author Posted September 3, 2015 exhaust is solid. i have the front leaf mount and frame shackle at 100ft/lb and rear eyelet at 80ft/lb and all u bolts beyond my torque wrench capabilities. (which i think are the factory specs) but i think i may have found it.... i think my shock is maxing out. between the ~2" lift the springs gave and the extra thickness of the spring pack ~1" i think I'm just over exteding the shock. although i havent verified this.
mikekaz1 Posted September 5, 2015 Author Posted September 5, 2015 Yep. Confirmed shock issue. Swapped out for a set of bilstien 5100s I had laying around and they work mint now. And holy cow are they stiff! They also gave me at least another inch of lift!
