Nbrown456 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 While pulling the engine on my 86 2.5L comanche I pulled out my intake box to notice the bottom tube was rusted out pretty badly. So I was looking for a new box. Everyone on ebay wants about $80 which I think is a lot. So right now I'm considering a Ram intake or cold air intake. Any suggestion??
Marine1Texas Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 if you wanting to go less you build it your self. you can get KN piece that will connect top of tb. then just tube and cone on the end. could cost the same or more then the box.

87Warrior Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 I replaced my 2.5 airbox with a HO 4.0 airbox to do away with the vacuum doors. The intake tube could be improved, but there is no way that small bend is robbing the 2.5 of any HP... Plus, the 4.0 air filter is dirt cheap and always available at the parts store. I always had to order a filter for the 2.5 box. I still have the 2.5 airbox and lid in my shed. If you want it, it is yours for the cost of shipping.
