Speedometer not working and the gas gauge not working

My speedometer is not working g I thought the sensor needed replacing since it was broken still nothing gas gauge is on ultra full reading. I do not know where to begin the search to fix this issue

You can start by editing your signature stating the year, engine, transmission, etc. of your MJ so we know what vehicle you are referring to.

I would check all of the electrical connections between the sensors and the cluster, as the '91s and the '92s used an all electronic cluster. The connections at the cluster might be the problem. My parents had a '91 XJ that a speedometer that didn't work intermittently, and a fuel gauge that read with the key in the lock position. I personally would try whacking the top of the dash above the cluster, as that may get the speedometer working at least briefly, if it's a loose connection there.
