Jeepjeff859
so i have a ax15 or my 4.0 swap and I'm buying all the parts i need but I'm stuck on the clutch line and the slave , the line i found on rock auto looks like it threads into the slave but the slave looks like it is supposed to have some sort of quick disconnect to slide into, can anyone give me the parts numbers to a slave and a line that will work together, the slave i have came with luke clutch kit but all the slaves you can by them selves hav some sort of black thing in the end of it and the luke one didnt come with it has a internal slave
64 Cheyenne
Suggest buying a new complete MC and line for 94 up w external slave. If you have ext slave. Besides I think it is recommended to warranty a new clutch slave you have to prove you put new MC and new line, or at least flush it. I suggest buying a stainless hose from here http://www.advanceadapters.com/categories/hydraulic-fittings--hoses/71/ If you work your truck REALLY HARD you pose the risk of melting the plastic line to the clutch leaving you sort of stranded, ask me how I know. Do you know how to shift without a clutch to get home? Strongly recommend the braided stainless line, peace of mind....
87MJTIM
Jeepjeff859, It looks like you have a "franken-Jeep." 86 body, 94 engine and an ax15 w/ internal slave. The internal was used with the mid-89 to 93 XJ and MJ. That said, the internal slave has two lines that stick out of the bellhousing. One connects to the line from the master; the second is for bleeding. The second has the bleed nipple on the end. The pics on RA shows what looks like sleeve covers for the connects. This will keep dirt from getting on to the connector and in to the hydraulic system.
