Blue88Comanche
This is for my dads mj, 1989 4.0 auto 2wd. It started acting up the other day, it will start off running fine. I was told it would occasionally die while idling (did not die while I was messing with it). While driving it will start off fine and can get up to speed. and then it seems it won't get the jeep over 20mph regardless of the amount of petal given. It starting working properly before I got home. The engine is not idling rough My current thoughts are Grounds ECU TCU Fuel pump Fuel pressure regulator IAC The injectors where replace sometime last year. I am going to have dad and my brother do cruiser's ground upgrades and refreshing. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
87MJTIM
Ballast resistor? When it gets hot, it can stop working. Try bypassing it by connecting the wires together. My 2 cents
Fernando87mj
An exhaust restriction maybe ? And fuel pump is a good idea too :)
