airspeed
To summarize: Photos were taken with police present. The officer assessed the situation and then gave us a lights and siren escort across three lanes of traffic. Even then it was difficult to move to the shoulder, people don’t want to give you a break. The photo is a little misleading regarding the traffic, there was a wall of cars stacked up behind us moving 5 mph, I’m sure that started a huge traffic jam full of angry people. The car was assessed and determined to be a total loss. I have my check already. Now I have to decide what the new vehicle will be. I really liked the Camry (smooth and quiet) but at this altitude it was a little short on power. The one thing that bugged me, the six speed auto was always down shifting out of sixth gear any time you touched the gas. There was an easy fix, use manual select and set one thru five. I have been thinking real hard… Had I been in the Comanche I probably would not be sitting here right now. I’m getting old and scared, oh well, what are you going to do. daking
Well I'm glad they totaled it. You would have had a bad time if they forced you to fix it. Lower resale value, and I doubt it would ever drive like new again.
dasbulliwagen
You should give definite consideration to the Mazda 6. I'm a Mazda dealer tech and can say that I wouldn't mind owning one myself. They're better looking than the Toyota too. Hyundai Sonata's are nice as well. We bought a new Hyundai Elantra last year and my wife absolutely loves it. They have come a long way. I know the Toys are decent as well but to me its just boring. Let us know what you end up buying.
Wesleypipesyo
My wife had a 1994 Elantra when we started dating. It was a sh@t box. It went through transmissions like my mj with a broken gas tank goes through gas. I bought her a 2004 Elantra after we got married. They could not have been more different. They quality improvement was unbelievable. And the same improvement happened again in 2013-2014. Great little cars. Of course I suggest a Ford Escape. I have a 2012 and my bro in law has a 2014. Both are great SUVs.
