DirtyJeepGuy Posted May 26, 2015 Author Posted May 26, 2015 Got the passenger 99 door on tonight. Its slowly getting there.
DirtyJeepGuy Posted May 26, 2015 Author Posted May 26, 2015 Nobody needs a fancy garage to build jeeps. However they might be nice. But I learned to work with what I was given.
DirtyJeepGuy Posted May 26, 2015 Author Posted May 26, 2015 Minus the messy interior that remains. I was testing the panel. I love this so far.
DirtyJeepGuy Posted May 29, 2015 Author Posted May 29, 2015 With a little more tweaking to go. The doors are pretty flush and straight.
DirtyJeepGuy Posted May 29, 2015 Author Posted May 29, 2015 This jeeps going to look like a Crayola variety pack before it gets to paint. However the mirrors are now on.
DirtyJeepGuy Posted May 29, 2015 Author Posted May 29, 2015 Rear axle is swapped over from the 86. So 31s in rear. 29s up front till I swap the front axle over.
DirtyJeepGuy Posted May 29, 2015 Author Posted May 29, 2015 And another axle shot. Oh and the DIY JCR Offroad Rear Bumper :D
DirtyJeepGuy Posted May 31, 2015 Author Posted May 31, 2015 Did some bedlining of the inside of the box.
DirtyJeepGuy Posted May 31, 2015 Author Posted May 31, 2015 Mounted the license plate. Yes its plated and registered. Just so my neighbors can't really complain about it.
DirtyJeepGuy Posted May 31, 2015 Author Posted May 31, 2015 Another donation from the 86. A drivers side cab corner.
DirtyJeepGuy Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 Decided to put the front clip on the Comanche today. Just to see what it would look like again.
DirtyJeepGuy Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 Since the Comanche is sitting. Its the perfect time to put my flagpole mount to use.
DirtyJeepGuy Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 Passenger side cut a slot in the floor to cut a bolt out of the crossmember on the 86.
DirtyJeepGuy Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 I only cut on the right side of the frame rail. So mother nature did work on the left side of this 86.
DirtyJeepGuy Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 The two girls looking pretty. My 99 has a seized motor unfortunately. So I'm on the hunt for a 2nd 4.0 since I have one from a 99 waiting to go in the Comanche.
DirtyJeepGuy Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 First time ive ever dropped a motor/trans/tcase under the jeep and rolled the jeep over it. But it works!
DirtyJeepGuy Posted June 6, 2015 Author Posted June 6, 2015 I ended up putting the WARN front bumper on it. As well as the bed. Beds just resting in place for the time being.
DirtyJeepGuy Posted June 6, 2015 Author Posted June 6, 2015 I'm impressed with the jcr fitment. One hell of a great design.
DirtyJeepGuy Posted June 6, 2015 Author Posted June 6, 2015 Its beginning to look a lot like a pickup.
DirtyJeepGuy Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 Well ive been helping a buddy replace a motor in his YJ that he bought to flip. And after lots of talking I decided I'm going to buy the turbine wheels from him for the MJ.
DirtyJeepGuy Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 Bartered a buddy that needed some trailer rims into welding up a floorboard and dash mounts for her. So he came by to pick her up and brought her back a few days later. He has experience with the 97-01 dash in older models.
DirtyJeepGuy Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 While I had some downtime I decided to cut the front axle out of the 86. So I could send the 86 on its way and swap it into the 90.
