thejum57 Posted May 12, 2015 Share Posted May 12, 2015 Looks like I need a new wiper switch. The wipers work when they want. I replaced the motor...and the bushings a couple of years ago. Still work when they want to. Today I barely got them to work at all. Time to take the plunge. It's for an 86 Comanche Custom. Just the basic signal stalk with the 2 speed wiper switch, with the "single wipe" feature if you twist it backwards. Please only one you know works! I'm at 01030. Thanks! schardein Posted May 13, 2015 Share Posted May 13, 2015 You know there is the lever, and then the switch itself is a separate piece inside the column. The lever may very well be the issue, but if it is the switch that is bad, that is a separate part inside the column. Replacing just the lever is like replacing a manual transmission shift lever, when the transmission has worn out synchronizers. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
