big66440 Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Are there any differences in the actual head gasket for the 4.0? My head gasket went out and I was thinking of going with the Fel Pro 530SD ( severe duty) but it's listed for the 92 and newer 4.0's. BTW I'll be replacing my Renix head with a 7120 I have ready to be installed ( I've read about the Intake modifications required)

big66440 Posted March 17, 2015 Author Posted March 17, 2015 Ok I figured it out on my own, I made the mistake and misread the info provided by Fel Pro it's the same gasket from 1987 to 2001. As for the best head gasket sorry daking I wouldn't be able to answer that but I would recommend with sticking with brand name gaskets.
