Herada12
Can someone explain to me how the injection system works? What relays or fuses are incorporated in that system? I recently bought my mj as an offroad buggy. Previous owner swapped an ax15 into it in place of the ba10. When he did it he used the wrong flywheel. So i went ahead an swapped it this weeked. Along with a new fuel pump too! Its got good spark but It still won't fire. But will on ether starting fluid??? So how do I go about diagnosing my fuel problem? Herada12
So tonight I plan on installing a new fuel filter and a new fuel pump strainer/sock. Also getting 6 new plugs to eliminate the ignition system all together. What fuel pressure should I see at the test port? What ae my options to determine if my injectors are infact fring? Eagle
What ae my options to determine if my injectors are infact fring? A "noid light." I think you can buy them at all the major parts stores.
Herada12
Ok I'm going to stop at a few places tonight and see if I can pick one up. If its got power to the injectors I guess I can count on dirty/faulty injectors, a bad regulator or plugged fuel lines.
Herada12
So i went ahead and got a noid light. I'm getting a bright light everytime. I went ahead and installed the new sock and filter. Upon cranking, I still have no start issues. I do not have a fp gauge that will hook to the test port. Just pushing the schrader valve gives me a ton of fuel? So who thinks my injectors are trashed? Herada12
Update: pulled the fuel rail and all of the injectors. Their all filthy and teating them I found only 2 of them fired. Looks like a new set is in order? Any recomendations.
Herada12
So I found a guy local who has a few set of orange top 19lb ford injectors. He says $25 and if they don't work I can either hve my money back or he will let me find enough that fire good. He has a handful of them, and says they are all from running vehicles. If i purchase o rings for my 89 comanche, will they work for the ford injectors?
Herada12
I installed the new injectors. It took right off. Only problem os that its idling at 3k rpms. Is that what high idle is in these? Seems terribly high?

Seems terribly high? Probably bad TPS. But I would do Tips 1 through 5 in my link below and consider 27.
