Jags1966
Okay, I recently purchased a 1986 MJ. I for my own personal reasons have decided that I want to do the 97+ grille swap. Has anyone here done the 97+ grille swap on a 1986? If so, what is involved in making the swap? What parts should I grab off of the 97+ donor? Any help would be appreciated. thanks! shelbyluvv
Fenders, bumper and header panel. You will have to trim the headlight buckets a bit and drill a hole for the adjusters to punch through the radiator support. Check my Black Betty build or the DIY section for a write up. DirtyJeepGuy
You just gotta notch the panel. I have a 86. 97-01 clip on it currently. It's easy!
