webbjeepxj Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 I have an 86 2.5 tbi. No a/c ... would it be possible/good/safe idea to get an 90 amp alt for a/c, and swap the serp pulley for v belt pulley? They appear to be close, except the 9 o clock wire mounting. Webb
Dillithium Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Why not have your current one rebuilt and uprated? You have an AC delco 10 or 12SI, both very capable of 90 amps or more. Make sure you upgrade your wiring, too. Kelley's WIP is a great source for this, although I've read he's currently behind on his orders.
