tylergrant2011 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Does anyone know what causes the wire between the solenoid and the starter to get hot when trying to start the engine on 4.0L comanche
Dillithium Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 How hot are we talking? I'll skip the scientific part of heat and electricity, but there are a lot of amps running through that wire to the starter motor.
tylergrant2011 Posted January 27, 2015 Author Posted January 27, 2015 Bout hot enough to melt the rubber around the wire
tylergrant2011 Posted January 27, 2015 Author Posted January 27, 2015 Ill check onto that after I tried to start it over today two or three times it cranked slow and started then died back down. I went to crank it again and it didnt even budge to turn it over. I waited a while and then it turned over again.
