UkeeManche Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 This is Manche. He's a 1990 pioneer 4x4 long box with a 3 inch lift. He cost $1000 and came with a canopy and a few spare parts.
UkeeManche Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 I got him in August and have been tinkering with him since. Putting the long box to use.
UkeeManche Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 Changed the radiator because i was having to dump a jug of water in before i drove. I wonder why it leaked? :P
UkeeManche Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 And again. This time was much worse. My parents Rubicon and my buddies tracker couldn't pull me out.
UkeeManche Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 Got an 8.8 with 4.10 gears and an lsd for $300. Cleaning and welding. I used 1/4 inch angle iron for spring perches.
UkeeManche Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 1/4 angle iron adjustable shock mount.
UkeeManche Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 Got some really bad death wobble and found out why. (this is the track bar bushing)
UkeeManche Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 My buddies stock TJ full of condoms. :P
UkeeManche Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 Ripped out my carpet and found this... Cleaned it up Used some sheet metal from a Subaru, a few tubes of silicon and self tapping screws. I would have welded it but i only have a big arc welder and I'm impatient.
UkeeManche Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 Oh yeah here's a pic of Manche with the 8.8 under him (SOA). So the rear is at about 8-9 inches of lift with the front at 3 and a trim.
UkeeManche Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 My buddies Rokee with a welded dana 35 on 35s finally broke. It lasted longer then i thought it would.
UkeeManche Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 I'm now lifting the front with 7.5 inch lift coils. So the stock track bar is not going to work, so I'm modifying it to work. I cut the tie rod end off and I'm replacing it with a bushing i got from when my parents lifted there Jeep Patriot. Then I'm modding the bracket to except the new bushing.
UkeeManche Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 I'm also putting a 4.10 dana 30 in the front to match the rear.
Jakesjeepmj1988 Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 nice jeep  always was a fan of army green, whats next got any plans ?
UkeeManche Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 The plans are to get the axle, suspension and interior back in. Its been off the road for a month now and its really sad. I also have to find some 35s to replace my tiny 31s

UkeeManche Posted February 20, 2015 Author Posted February 20, 2015 Modified my stock lca so that they wouldn't bottom out on the axle mount. I know it looks really ghetto :P, but I'm gonna stress test the $#!& out of them before i do any serious driving. Also got my drop brackets in, but realized that the braces don't fit comanches :P . So i might make my own out of some 1/4" plate.
UkeeManche Posted February 20, 2015 Author Posted February 20, 2015 All the suspension stuff is hooked up except the shocks. Those are gonna take a few weeks to get here.
UkeeManche Posted February 20, 2015 Author Posted February 20, 2015 How it looks with 31s. I got some 35s from a friend that i just gotta get mounted. After that its just the brakes, shocks, and put the bench seat back in :D
Kickinmule Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Nice green thing and beatiful country up there!
dustyinthedirt Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 is nobody gonna say anything about the big penis looking thing on the front of it in the first pic?! nice truck though
UkeeManche Posted February 25, 2015 Author Posted February 25, 2015 Got the bench in :D Also got the 35s mounted on rims and put them on the back. Now i just have to finish up hooking up the brakes, and wait for my shocks :D
