ownedueasy Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Ok so somewhere I read that a stock grand cherokee drop pitmann arm will work as a 4 inch drop arm on an mj? Please give me more details on this
Eagle Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 The ZJ pitman gives you about a 1-inch drop, not 4 inches. It also causes moderate bump steer. Generally not recommended. Why do you think you need a dropped pitman arm?
ownedueasy Posted November 19, 2014 Author Posted November 19, 2014 My front end is gona be on 3" lift springs, 2" coil spacers, and 33s. Just looking for parts my stepdad told me to
dankicksass Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 You only need a drop pitman arm with a dropped/modified track bar mount, and not all replacement or modified track bar mounts require them at that. Your track bar and drag link should be parallel for best performance. EDIT: the imaginary line between the pivot points on each bar should be parallel. In reality, most track bars and drag links are bent.

Incommando Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 I am at 5.5" in the front and I have zero bump steer issues with the factory pitman arm and a RE adjustable track bar.
ownedueasy Posted November 19, 2014 Author Posted November 19, 2014 Ok, well thank you guys. One less thing I've gotta get
