88AMComanche
I have SOAKED floors. I stopped all leaks when i bought the truck 5 years ago. - I just went outside now since its pouring rain to see where its coming in at . The Passenger side side kickpanel below it where it meets the floor theres 3-4 streaks of drip coming in & puddling in the floor. What could be there that would allow water to leak in when the truck is parked just sitting there??? Isnt it solid frame area there between the door & the front wheel?? Somehow water is coming in and dripping down from under that plastic side kick panel. Any ideas??? ALSO The back window Top corner is leaking. I think I camn buy some of that leak sealer for that, where ya pour it where you think its leaking & it finds the leak & gets thick & dries. But the side kick panel plastic pice I am lost on where it could be coming from. Anyone please throw any possibilities at me. tyvm in advance. Lee21490
Might have the same issue i did awhile back. A little ways up on both sides, Is a bolt with a rubber gasket/oring around it, Just pull back the carpet & padding towards where the heater core is. The rubber on mine was FUBAR and was leaking heavily every time it rained, Coat a little sealant around it & you're good to go.
88ComancheMitch
I had soaked floors. I took off all trim and siliconed all around the windshield. No more leaks. Check out the door also. I had leaks from.weathrrstrip that wasn't properly seated
BIGHEEP
Check the seal around the door stop?
sloride
I'm fighting the same problem. Passenger side floor after a rain. Doesn't have to be driving rain either. Turns out the body sealant is toast where the wheel well meets the firewall. Its the area just below the blower motor fan engine side of firewall. Rain water runs off the hood down the firewall and pool up just below the fan motor. I can test the area by pouring water down in that crevice and watch air bubbles appear. I've taken petes advice and used roofing caulk to fix that area as well as the baby powder trick to look for new water trails. Also changed the hood to cowl seal. Caulked the antenna hole where it comes in the cab. Check your door weather stripping.
88AMComanche
I'm gonna seal around my antenna rubber where it plugs in under the fender ...........ALSO while I was leaned in there looking, Just above the antenna plug hole but closer to the hinge area, there 2 big holes. dunno what they are for. Looks as if maybe they take a big rubber plug maybe. If you look under the passenger wheel well & can get your head kinda in there you can see the antenna plug ......then 2 big holes, unless yours is plugged by the rubbr/plastic capoff plugs? I just know water is trailing in almost at the floor back behind that side kick panel next to the lil light under the pass. dash. Theres about an inch clearence under the plastic panel & I watched a trail of water trickle from behind it to the floor. - I HATE water leaks. Ive already cut out my front carpet. now after all this rain,my carpet under the seats is soggy too so my back glass or sunroof is leaking. -Whats with the baby pawder trick?? something to find a leak? sloride
Sprinkle baby powder over the subject floor and the water will make a trail through the powder..... I know the holes you mention. Mine had plastic plugs from the factory. I never could find a replacement so I got the 'accordion' type that's used from the cab door jamb to the door itself. Its to protect wires for electric windows and electric door locks. I got mine off an XJ at the pick and pull.

Mine has those on both doors. - The holes I'm talking about are on the Outter side Cowl pillar I guess? Its about 5 inches in front of the doors if you took the fenders off. Theyre right next to where the antenna goes into the truck. The fat plug where it enters into the cab. - My truck is missing the big plastic wheel well cover. The one thats like 3 feet long half moon & keeps water in the wheel area instead of slinging water all up under the fender.-Mines missing that. .maybe thats why its making it up to the 2 holes under the fender & trickling into my floor. Mine had a small leak rigtht at the bottom. I got a tube of all purpose indoor outdoor clear sealent from home depot & globbed me a nice clear stream of it and it hasnt leaked since.
