mpace6a
Trying to find the right size u bolts for my rear springs, and so far I've seen 2.5x9", 2.562x9", 2.62x9", and 2.75x9" u bolts recommended on various forums. Does anyone know which of these is the right size? Mine arent coming off in one piece, no way no how, plus i don't want to re-use them anyway. Any help is appreciated. Jeep Driver
Look for a trailer supply/manufacturer in your area......they will have every size you can imagine and will be cheaper than any parts stores.

Jeep Driver
2.5x7 will work and then trim after torque. Not to is just plain lazy-@$$. TSC has high prices and will likely not have deep nuts and and thick washers. Image Not Found

Fastenal doesn't have the right length, and being in MO, bolts under vehicles don't come off in one piece.
Eagle
Shackle bolts are 14mm, but if you clean out the inside of the bushing sleeve really well and coat the bolt with anti-seize, you can use 9/16" grade 8 bolts. I know it works because I did it to get a friend's Cherokee back on the road. He had been swapping springs around, and he LOST the bolts.

I found the specs and part numbers for the stock bolts, but so far I haven't been able to find them. I'm putting in new springs (hell creek metric ton), so I'm planning on just cutting all the bolts off so I don't have to fight the Missouri rust to get them off.
