SpaghettiBatman
I recently purchased an 86 Comanche, user Shawn's grey one. I need to replace and remove a broken banjo bolt. I'm not entirely sure what size they are. I have done a bit of googling and they seem to be http://www.brakeconnect.com/product/banjo-bolt-38-x-24nf-stainless-steel 3/8 x 24nf. Would like confirmation and if using a torque wrench is necessary. I'm removing the broken bolt with a left hand drill bit and if that doesn't work following up with easy outs. Jeep Driver
Yes, the size sounds correct. You know the calipers are only $17 at Advance......? And the bolts should only be about $2 each.
HOrnbrod
Even at the dealership the bolts are only $1.91. But they are not stainless. Who cares..................
SpaghettiBatman
I didn't plan on buying those exact ones. With a local 4x4 club I get 30% off at lordco. I will probable have to buy calipers as well since those ones have been sitting for a year and ive been told that they soak up water from the oil being hydro absorbent. If they are that cheap then i will pick up a pair and just not even bother with the easy outs and left handed drill bit.
xjrev10
Did you end up finding banjo bolts? I was told they where discontinued and not available anymore by the stealer and quadratec.
