Bed Liner

Recommended Posts

the slide in units promote rust under them as they trap water --

The plastic bed liner has been on my 1991 truck since it was new.  Had the truck repainted 3 years ago.  Not a speck of rust on the bed, shop said the truck bed looked like new and did not have to be painted.  Now, the truck has also had a SnugTop shell on it since it was new.  Maybe that is part of the reason there is no rust in the bed.  The other reason the truck has not rust- the truck has lived in Southern California since it was new.

I have never liked plastic bedliners because when stuff gets underneath them and plugs the drains water gets trapped under them. That's why the promote rust if you don't have some sort of cover. I put a roll-in in my 88 swb. One gallon of it from Walmart gave me two nice thick coats and I couldnt be happier
