cade leach
i have an 89 mj 4.0 automatic. and it struggles to start every time I start it, it has never not started, but always has trouble. some said it was just something all jeeps do and i wanted to know if that is true or not, and if there were any upgrades to help. i am tired of getting strange looks every time i start up my truck. cade leach
ive seen some threads kind of close to this and said that upgraded fuel injectors would help but I'm not sure what to do. i know the basics about trucks but I'm no mechanic
HOrnbrod
It's a Renix. That's what they do. Start with the basics. Do a good tuneup; new cap and rotor, plugs, plug wires, etc. Read through Cruiser's tips and clean up / refresh all electrical grounds. Don't even think about new injectors yet unless they are leaking. http://comancheclub.com/topic/36382-cruisers-renix-tips/
cade leach
well i now know what i am doing tomorrow, thank you so much! so it is a jeep thing i guess, but this should help start quicker? or easier ?
JeepcoMJ
It should improve electrical continuity and allow the PCM to pick up the crank sensor signal quicker...this will help start faster. Refreshing the grounds helps out all sensors
