Has anyone made the harness and connector for a trailers lights? To where they got it to connect to a Comanche that did not come with it?

Going to be hauling stuff and in MO it is required to have working lights on the trailer. Thanks in advance!

Ground to frame, do not count on trailer being grounded at ball.

Wire harness is near drivers tail light near spring shackle.

Use electrical tape to wrap flat plug wire and connections, zip tie to bumper.

The splice connectors are easy to use and convenient but they cause many headaches when they get loose. Taping them will help but a loose connection is a sure bet in the future. If you have time and ability it would be better to solder and shrink wrap the splices.

Flat plugs are $#!& and won't last more than a couple of years.

If he was going to a more permanent 7 pin.........then I agree.

Why hack up your wiring with cheap splice connectors? It doesn't matter what kind of trailer connection you are using they should be avoided if they can.

Also I have three vehicles with the 4 blade connection. They are all older than a cheap splice connector would have lasted ... Do it right so you don't have to worry about it later.
