dave92cherokee Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 I've currently got the original 88 fuel sending unit in the cheromanche and want to get it swapped out with a HO unit. Willing to trade unit's if you've got a HO but need a renix or trade a couple of MJ items + cash.
Keyav8r Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Good luck finding an HO sender. There may be a kind soul out there who will part with one fo the right trade but to be honest, if I ever find one I'll hoard it for a spare. Following your build thread. I would drive to Shelbyville to see the finished product.
tubpilot Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 I have seen new HO sending units complete with pump for sale on eBay, no such luck for the Renix Manches...
HOrnbrod Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 I have seen new HO sending units complete with pump for sale on eBay, no such luck for the Renix Manches... For 91-92 MJ HOs? I doubt that very much. Show me a link.
tubpilot Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 This is what I was thinking: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-Fuel-Pump-Cherokee-Comanche-2-5L-4-0L-/301025207765?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item46168025d5&vxp=mtr I read the add further and realised it's for a Cherokee :( Oops.
tubpilot Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Here is the link! I knew I saw it somewhere, I hope this will work for you. http://www.ebay.com/itm/AIRTEX-E7072S-Fuel-Pump-and-Sender-Assembly-/111218200560?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AComanche&hash=item19e51f0ff0&vxp=mtr
oldseddie Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Hormbrod is correct. It would look like a mirror image of the picture on this link.
dave92cherokee Posted December 22, 2013 Author Posted December 22, 2013 Unfortunately it's like all other parts sites, that one is for a cherokee. Straight from airtex website part number E7072S is for a 91-96 XJ. Just have to hope someone on here comes across a 92 being parted or in a JY and can grab it for me.
HOrnbrod Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Hormbrod is correct. It would look like a mirror image of the picture on this link. I was hoping to be wrong. Thanks for posting anyhow tubpilot.
tubpilot Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 I guess that's the problem with parts from eBay. Buggers only list it fitting a 91-92 Comanche, don't list the Cherokee. Good thing you cross referenced it. If you had a core I'd imagine it could be rebuilt, as I use to get the transmitters in the DHC-2 Beavers rebuilt when they packed it in.
