90' Comanche Heater/blower Motor Problems ????

Just curious as to anyone else running into this problem also, my heater stopped working a few months back and I cannot figure out what the hell is wrong with it.

 

ive already changed all fuses, I did hook the blower motor up to the battery just to test it and yes it did work. the only setting was high or nothing. I checked relays, traced wires and have yet to find the problem.  what do I do???

I'd bet the resistor pack is bad. :thumbsup:   it's located in the ductwork under the dash on the passenger side right above the passenger's left foot.  comes out with an 8mm wrench I think.  the reason high speed still works is that that's the full 12 volts.  all other settings go through the resistors to drop the voltage and drop the fan speed.

soo would that be a part I could replace at the local scrap yard? or should I try an find a new one?

A new one should cost you about $12.  I'd go that route instead of buying another used one.  There is an A/C version and non A/C version (at least there was for my 90), the connector looked a little different, so make sure to get the correct one.
