I have no welding experience , but I have a few friends that do. Just checking in with you guys for any words of wisdom in this matter. I don't really relish the idea of taking off the door and then driving around in the cold ! Gotta keep old Sgt. I do not suggest that you try and weld it without putting in the strong back (metal backer in the door pillar) My friend tried that, worked for a little while, then had to take it all apart and do it the right way...
