Blue88Comanche
yesterday i took advantage of my day off and the nice weather magically aligning for once. as it turns out the D-44 cross shaft roll pin some how came out and i think it was the cause of the broken gears. So I put my extra carrier in without the ring gear, and put the TC in part time, now i have a FWD jeep... I am sure this is not too good for the drive chain in the tc long term. this is just my solution to get the truck movable again. hopefully soon i will have the money yo get the new gears installed. TheDirtyJeep401
Awesome! Better a FWD the not being able to drive at all.

Blue88Comanche
so i took the jeep up to 55 mph for a short stent, and it was kinda scary... there is a huge difference in the Jeep's 31x10.5R15 tires vs the Charger's 245/45R20... one feels like i am on a boat and the other sticks to the road... I wonder if the FWD may have changed how the Jeeps feels while driving. pulling instead of pushing? the moral of the story, you should not let your jeep sit undriven for 4 months... the car will spoil you to its ride... :thwak:
