jeepman 87
Just got my danna 44 metric ton rear end swap done but my shocks won't mount onto the axle. What do I need to do with axle shock mounts? Can you just swap bottom brackets to each side?
mvusse
On a stock MJ, the shocks mount to the u bolt plates. If your's is not stock we need pictures.

mvusse
On short bed Comanches, the pins are supposed to behind the axle, on long bed they are in front of the axle. The plates are the same between lwb and swb, just flipped around between left and right.

That's what I was meaning ... the D44 should only have 1/4" thicker tubes if not the same ... haven't bothered pop a tape measure to one before but they should be either 2.5 or 2.75" thick no? so it should be anywhere near enough to cause a clearance issue, and I'm guessing he just got his plates mixed around. I've done things like it before.
