NHMJXJ Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Greetings ... does anyone have a stock plate light, or pair they would part with? Just had the MJ in for state inspection and having one plate light won't cut it anymore. I have the stock bumper on my truck (which is in really good shape). One of the plate light housings is junk. I've looked through catalogs and online and the one they used isn't available any longer. GM has round ones, and neither Fey or Westin have the right size. The whole assembly with the spring clip would be good, but I only need the housing. AdTHANKSvance Tim
HOrnbrod Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Part number is 56001343. It's available here, not cheap: http://collectorsautosupply.com/
NHMJXJ Posted August 31, 2013 Author Posted August 31, 2013 Wow! Thanks for the quick reply! Think I'm gonna hold out in hopes someone here has one for cheap. $35 is silly considering the application. I found it amusing that the description includes the word "rear" ... ever see a Front plate light??? :???:

Exgrayxj Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Just this afternoon got another bumper, let me look at it good tomorrow, I think I will have an extra pair ... I need the rubber ends ...
NHMJXJ Posted September 1, 2013 Author Posted September 1, 2013 Ahhh ... most excellent. Keep me posted.
NHMJXJ Posted September 3, 2013 Author Posted September 3, 2013 Got it, thanks. Neglected to mention that these are unique. I need the driver's side.
HOrnbrod Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Got it, thanks. Neglected to mention that these are unique. I need the driver's side. They carry the same part number for both sides. Mine are interchangeable. :hmm:
NHMJXJ Posted September 3, 2013 Author Posted September 3, 2013 Of course there's only one part number. I was completely overthinking it because of the tapered shape of the housing. It's like the old joke about pulling a nail from a sack with the pointy end facing you, being for the other side of the house. Left handed screwdriver ...etc.
