TheDirtyJeep401
For some reason over the past few weeks, my comanches clutch is messing up. When it sits for a while or just going down the highway, It won't go into gear wheather I shift or down shift. When It sits I have to pump the clutch about 50 times, till it builds up pressure. But it still dosent want to go into gear. It feels like there is air getting into the lines. Also I have to sometimes jump around in the MJ to get it to move so it will go into gear or reverse. Any help is appericated. Thanks.
mnkyboy
When mine did that it was the clutch master cyl but it could also be the slave cyl. Is it leaking or going through fluid?
TheDirtyJeep401
It did loose a little fluid, but i havent seen any leaks at all.
TheDirtyJeep401
It usually looses pressure when sitting on a hill.
Geonovast
Just another reason to get on that trans swap!
mnkyboy
Check the master first since its easy to get to, they like to leak and drip onto the fuse box which will corrode it. It has to be the master, slave, or the line that connects them.
TheDirtyJeep401
Just another reason to get on that trans swap! Yes, I know, I really want to, but I need to go back to Kansas and haven't had time. I think I might know what it is, Ill have to take pics but the PO took one of the clutch lines and its poorly bent and is running everywhere. It also looks like a connector that is on the line is cross threaded. Ill have to get under it and look.
