2.8-3.4 Swap.

I'm going to go look at a 1999 Pontiac Montana, 3.4 engine with 33,000 miles. Will it bolt up to the 60* 2.8 trans? Will the transverse mount kill the deal, or can it be worked around?

The 3.4 bolts up to the 2.8 trans just fine, they are both 60* blocks. I think the transverse mount kills it though, I've always heard it had to come out of a RWD car like a camaro or monte carlo.

That's my understanding. The 3.1 or 3.4 has to be from a rear-wheel drive model.
