jimoshel
Anybody got any tips on how to remove the left front shock without having to remove the brake master cylinder? I got it off and going after a new set now. Had to remove the BMC from the booster and was able to get a 3/8 deep well socket with a u joint on the nut enough to get it off. There's gotta be a easier way.
1987Comanche
13MM ratcheting combination wrench (Gearwrench, etc) and a small set of vice grips to keep the rod from spinning.
Eagle
Or put a box-end wrench on the nut and use a pipe wrench on the shock dust cover to unsrew the stud from the nut. When replacing, put some anti-sieze on the threads and you can turn the shock tight enough by hand to compress the bushings properly.
jimoshel
Other than a 8mm I don't have any ratcheting box ends. I do have a pipe wrench. Any way it's a moot point now. Got 'em both swapped and everything back together.
