GirsMJ86
Probably a lost cause, but does any company make flares similar to the looks of the Bushwacker cutouts but does not require cutting? I just want some bigger flares that go on in the stock location this way I can always go back to stock easily if I wanted. I'm just looking to keep the shape/look/style that is meant for our trucks, but adds some extra coverage for a slightly wider stance.
skidoo_j
I think some of the rusty's off road ones do.
Biotex
Are you ok with drilling new holes for the pocket style flares? If so, You can modify the Napier flares to do what you want. I went through this on Maura recently. I spoke with the tech at Napier, and he told me it can be done, but they had not tried it. The way the flares work, you can trim back the inner part of the flare instead of the metal. You won't notice it unless you were to stick your head up under the wheel well, you would see about an inch or so of metal. If you painted it black, it would be pretty un-noticeable IMO. GirsMJ86
hmm I'll have to look into those a bit more then. I saw them in the vendors section but basically wrote them off since they don't go all the way down like the Bushwackers, otherwise though I like the shape of them a lot more. Guess I'll see if I can get my hands on some Bushwackers from CL or something and see what can be done. Wonder how well JK flares would work on the MJ, turns out well on FSJ Waggys. Of course I'd wager that would defeat my purpose of not having to hack up my bed.
Biotex
As for the flares not going all the way to the bottom, I think that is a plus. I'd sure hate to rip one off on a rock. Besides, if you add any rocker protection such as a slider, then that area would get used, and the flares would look even more custom tailored. On Maura, I plan to U-pol Raptor that area, which will give the look of sliders until I get around to building/buying some.
