frankMart Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I have a 87 2.5, today I found a 89 2.5. I grabbed the ECU. The question is: Are there any difference between the 87 ECU and the 89 ECU? Is it just plug and play? Or will I have any trouble?
Eagle Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 They are both Renix throttle body systems, so even if there are some differences, overall the swap should work.

VixJeep Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 I bought a remanufactured ECU for my 88 4.0 for $125 online. Works great and the price was reasonable.
