The A999 and TF727 which is related to the A904 was offered behind the 258 and AMC V8s in the full size Jeeps and would only be in a 4.0 Comanche if someone swapped one in. Are you sure you don't have the AW4 and its just not getting into 4th? The AW4 has a long rectangular oil pan, the A904/A999 has a more squarish pan if I remember correctly.
