mvusse
Specifically, under the front. I know I can make the back work, but does anybody know what it will take to fit a 46x19.50x16.5 tire under the front of a Comanche? fenders will probably be taken off full width (67" wms to wms) axle What width wheel? What backspacing? How much lift?
onlyinajeep726
I have no idea, but damn that thing is going to be HUGE.
mvusse
Can get 4 tires, 85% tread with wheels for $600. I explained to my daughter to do that I will probably not be wheeling it AT ALL this year. She talked me out of it because of that. So as of now this tread is just for speculation. Just not feasible to go that big and actually get back on the trails at some time (relatively) soon.
yellaheep
Begs the question.......... should you even be trying to build something like this if you have to ask......... :dunno: The un-sprung weight of axles large enough to handle 46" tires........ and then the weight of the tires and wheels.... would be enough to tear up an MJ like a tin can just flexing it out. You're gonna spend money trussing, caging and reinforcing the snot outta the MJ. Anyway......... here's an XJ on 52" Michelins and Unimog Portal axles.........
