Anyone know roughly how much lift I will need in front to clear 37" tires and still have decent flex? Dirteatr717 Posted February 17, 2013 Share Posted February 17, 2013 I've seen as low as 3" lift on an xj that was bumpstopped correctly and performed very well. I'm currently around 5" of lift and could fit a 37" fine if I trimmed a little more. I'm also going to be running 37s on fullwidths within the next couple weeks. mvusse Posted February 18, 2013 Share Posted February 18, 2013 I ran 6.25" out front with 35" tires and ended up hacking the crap out of my fenders to clear the tires. Moving up to 37"s now, but will have a full width axle, low backspacing wheels and the way the springs mount will give me an additional 1" lift. comanchedude Posted February 19, 2013 Share Posted February 19, 2013 I have 35" tires with 6.5" springs. you will need to bump stop obviously. also flatten out the seem in the wheel well... at 37 you will start to get into the wheel well when you turn so you will have to clearance that more than just flatting the seem. I have some really special fenders in store for it as well. Did any know how I could measure how far from stock it is right now? Garvin Posted February 20, 2013 Share Posted February 20, 2013 With no cutting and without rubbing, 9+ inches. It comes down to as much as you want to cut to as low as you can go. Right now my Comanche is set up for 6" of lift with 42" tires with 4" up travel and 8" down (right now only running 38.5's since I'm waiting for the right set to pop up or I win the lottery). Both my front and rear are cut up to the body lines though as well as both axles are stretched (3" front and 5" rear stretch). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
