can't drive...now STILL CAN'T WORK!

Workmans comp is only required to pay you 2/3 of your regular wages before taxes. Which if you are like me, means you will take home about the same money. Also it is not taxable. Short term disability payments from an insurance company ae taxable.

yea, well, they aren't giving me anything right now...i gotta beat down some doors to do it...

 

(and i have 2 jobs and had about 80 hours a week...this happened @ one job so i'm screwed out of half the money i was making)

 

i was told that my other job should give me disability tho? is that true?

NO... If the other job is nice.. they might let you draw your short term but there is nothing that says you can double dip.

 

 

Take me for example.. I normally work around 56-60 hrs a week, Because I am normally scheduled 45hrs a week, I would draw 2/3 of the 45 hrs, not the 2/3 of 56 hrs. Big pay difference there

i hurt my L wrist on 5-23-05 and still have problems with the wrist and the work comp people . THEY DRAG MAJOR A$$ and we suffer from it . it was cool at first i got regular pay for 2 months and full pay for 3 months (no taxes , wich they take out over 1100 each month ) my tax return wasnt as great but o well. it was like an all expense paid vacaton for the first month then i got bored/ I'm a mechanic so I'm always active and not being able to use my hands realy sucks , worst part is the doc said due to the injure i might want to think about changing professions. :nuts: I AINT NO DESK JOCKIE DERNIT!!!
