pingpong Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 Workmans comp is only required to pay you 2/3 of your regular wages before taxes. Which if you are like me, means you will take home about the same money. Also it is not taxable. Short term disability payments from an insurance company ae taxable.
JeepcoMJ Posted April 17, 2007 Author Posted April 17, 2007 yea, well, they aren't giving me anything right now...i gotta beat down some doors to do it... (and i have 2 jobs and had about 80 hours a week...this happened @ one job so i'm screwed out of half the money i was making) i was told that my other job should give me disability tho? is that true?
pingpong Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 NO... If the other job is nice.. they might let you draw your short term but there is nothing that says you can double dip. Take me for example.. I normally work around 56-60 hrs a week, Because I am normally scheduled 45hrs a week, I would draw 2/3 of the 45 hrs, not the 2/3 of 56 hrs. Big pay difference there
