Turn Signal Switch Swap

I'm going to change my turn signal switch in hopes to cure several issues. Are there any guides out there? Do you remove the steering wheel or do it under the dash?

I just did mine to cure some wierd signal/light issues. Turned out someone had swapped in an 1156 bulb into an 1157 socket and shorted the two terminals together. Might check your situation and see if that is the problem also.

I don't suppose the turn signal indicators glowing with parking lights were one of the symptoms?

I'm not sure. My symptoms included brake lights not working and dash turn signal (green arrows) both light up when the running lights on. I am on the downward slope for the swap. I will post my results.
