Heater Core Box

Are all heater core boxes the same or are the ones with or without ac different

For 88-90, and presumably others, the heater core is same with or without AC.

The heater core housing is different since for AC it has to also hold the evaporator.

Heater boxes ARE different with and without AC. I physically compared them side by side when I removed my NON-AC box and the non-AC box has a block-off wherer the AC box has vent holes. this was on an '89 MJ.
