MJRemi
I wasn't sure what to do with the AMC 20 rearend from my 86 parts truck. Either sell it or install onto the Street Comanche but I really wanted a LSD rear for that. I removed it from the truck, cleaned off 26 years of dirt & grime, and took the cover plate off. Wait, what? A factory Limited Slip in perfect condition. I guess this axle will become part of #59 after all. Just wanted to share.

neohic
I recently had a similar event happen! I picked a dana 44 out of a Chief a few years ago without knowing what I'd do with it. I knew it was a 3.55 ratio but I never opened it up before. Currently, it's sitting in the diesel shop at the school I work at... they always need stuff to take apart and look at so might as well throw some seals at it while they're in there. Anyhow, I was explaining what it is and what it's out of and I leaned on one of the drums and it moved. I noticed that the other side moved in the same direction! I was skeptical at first figuring that someone had welded the spiders. We cracked it open and looky there! Factory limited slip! This one is going under the race truck. I'd love to change out to 4.10s, but even 3.55s behind a 4.0/5 speed and some low profile rubber ought to make for some fun. Neato how we had similar surprises for our trucks with a little bit of the same Archer DNA. Mine is of course transplanted... but similar DNA anyhow.
