cody4359
el' cheapo savage .270 looking for a deal on a Tika 300 WSM for next year. played with a couple and i love the feel and how smooth the action is.
Backdraft
The Tikas are nice for sure. This year I'm rocking a Browning .270 with a Nikon Monarch 6x24 50mm scope. Going to the lease Monday to hunt and hopefully make it earn its keep. Next year I'd like something in the 7 Mag flavor.

Backdraft
Jealous. I'd love to hunt in Montana. Never been in that area. Closest I've been is Spokane. Beautiful country up there.
cody4359
Repalced the savage with a 7mm rem. mag Tikka T3 light. The first gun wouldnt group, so after 6 boxes of shells thru it i took it back and they swapped me out for another. Put a Bell and Carlson stock on it and I'm grouping at about 1.5" at 100 yrds with 175gr federal soft points. So far only 13 rds thru it
airspeed
Time to upgrade my Weaver 2.5. That Leupold would be real nice.
Blue XJ
I put a Leupold on top of my rifle, really nice piece of glass. The thing I like the best is it is calibrated to the ammo that I shoot. No more counting clicks when changing distances, just set it to the distance you want and fire away.
M1A1TankerTom
I just put a Zeiss Conquest on top of my 270. I'm still rocking the leupold binoculars though!
cody4359
How do you like the Zeiss? I ended up having gun/ scope issues ive been fighting. Ended up pulling the vortex HS LR off my ar to get me thru my trip to montana. Leupold had better glass and eye relief, but was a 1" tube. The vorte is a 30mm tube and 42mm obj. Which i like better. When i get back I'm going to be hunting for a better scope. I had a good day, last week. 200 yards off a sandbag with hornady 139 gr. far right was my 2nd shot and i definatley pulled if not for that it would have been a good group
