86MJdriver Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 i can't figure out how to remonve the belt on my 2.5L in my 86MJ. there is no PS pump and i can't find any kind of pivot point for the larger belt. i need to replace my waterpump but i can't do that if i can't get the belt off. please help any helpful advice is greatly apreaciated!
mnkyboy Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 It should have a pulley where the PS pump would be,its basically a dummy PS punp and should have the tensioner on it.
86MJdriver Posted October 20, 2012 Author Posted October 20, 2012 i don't see anykind of dummy pulley all the pulleys on there are actually connected to parts of the engine one being the waterpump another to the a/c and the third one to the main one on the engine block
jimoshel Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 There's an adjusting bolt on the pwr strng bracket. Loosen it. The bolt comes out at an angle leaning towards the engine.
