Keyav8r
Is there any way to tell if a brake booster is single or dual diaphragm externally? A co-worker gave me a booster w/master cylinder but doesn't know what year Cherokee it was from. It looks kind of like my 88 MJ booster and mc, but not exactly. Alexia
If it is the size of a fist it is a single diaphragm. Two fists, double diaphragm!
Comanche County
Does it look like one of these? Top, MJ, Bottom is from a WJ.
Keyav8r
OK - the dual diaphragm booster is longer (or thicker), but about the same diameter. Thanks, Alexia. Country - it's from an XJ, but it looks just like the MJ booster in your photo. Back to PnP for either a '96 XJ or a WJ booster. Is the WJ swap more difficult than the XJ swap?
