I'm doing the above, replacing the original drag link on my MJ with a new ZJ V8 unit. And yes, it is just a bit beefier, and will go with the rest of the ZJ V8 steering. The bushings on the Pitman arm and right wheel have a little play. Just for review, as long as I install it adjusted exactly to the length of the old one, no worries about alignment, correct? All I'll probably have to do is adjust the turnbuckle slightly to re-center the steering wheel, si? It's been awhile.........

The draglink itself has nothing to do with the alignment as long as the hole where the tierod attaches is in the exact same place... which I cannot see it being different.

The turnbuckle is for steering wheel centering only.

So, tiny hi-jack. I installed a ZJ V8 tie rod in my sons XJ...all measurements the same. Now it pulls right a bit and the wheel is off kilter...just adjust the draglink??

Not quite. Adjusting the draglink will only center the wheel.

Draglink = Centers steering wheel

Tie Rod = Adjusts toe

Even a rig with toe that is slightly off shouldn't pull to one side or the other. It just can't do it due to the design of the system. But if the toe is not set, it could accentuate another problem.
