pug
Throwout bearing went out no big deal. I did notice a lot off oil in bellhousing clutch disk is dry rear main seal is dry. Transmission shifts into gear smooth. The main shaft that goes into back of the motor has a littlle play in it would this cause a worn seal. thanks
jimoshel
All input shafts on standard transmissions have a little play. When they're installed the snout is in the pilot bushing and keeps it steady,. Normal wear will do a seal in. Are you referring to the crankshaft rear seal or the transmission front seal? pug
transmission front seal i guess because whole inside of bellhousing is coverd with oil.
Geonovast
The bearing retainer cover gasket could simply be leaking.

pug
External slave. There is some springs that hold the throwout bearing to the fork inside the bellhousing
Geonovast
Those should come with a new throwout bearing.
